Cockfield


Welcome to the website for the village of Cockfield in the county of Suffolk.
Cockfield is situated in West Suffolk, about 6 miles south of the market town of Bury St Edmunds, and close to historic Lavenham.
It is a large and scattered village consisting of a series of hamlets grouped round its many greens, and the church.
About 750 people live in the community. Cockfield is an active village with many flourishing organisations, clubs and societies including the Parish Council and Community Council.

Institution of new Rector Sharon Potter to the Cockfield Benefice
The Institution of Rev Sharon Potter as new Rector of Cockfield will be at St Peters Church on Monday 20th February at 7:30pm. All are welcome to this service and to light refreshments afterwards in the Village Hall
