Cockfield Community Council News

January 1st saw the first Community Council event of 2023. A very successful Hangover Hike along the footpaths of Cockfield.

Friday February 17th is the date of the next Community Council event. This will be a family cash bingo night in the village hall following the success of our first bingo night in October 2022. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. There is no entry fee or need to book for this event.

Saturday March 25th will be a quiz night, again in the village hall, so plenty of time to get your team organised!

Saturday April 8th (Easter Saturday) family fun at the annual Duck Race held at Earls Meadow.

Saturday May 6th is the kings coronation and it is hoped to organise an event but is still in the planning phase.

Friday May 26th - Monday May 29th Cockfield Art Show in the village hall.

Saturday June 24th to celebrate the summer solstice join us for a guided walk around the village followed by a summer social in the village hall.

A village fete is being planned for July.

Test your knowledge with a quiz evening in November.

Cinema screenings will continue on the evening of the 4th Friday of each month in the village hall.

Note the May Cinema screening will be a week earlier on Friday 19th May and the  December screening will be on Friday December 15th.

More details for each event will be advertised in Green Links, on village notice boards, on posters around the village and on the community broadcasts as the date gets closer.
