You may be aware of recommendations by the Competition Commission following the takeover of by Cineworld of the Cityscreen cinemas which includes the Picturehouse in Bury, to force one of the cinemas to be sold.

If this were to happen we could lose the Picture House and its very popular format. There are many of us in the village who support and enjoy going to this cinema and it would be very sad if we were to lose it.

There is an on-line petition to the Competition Commission to stop it forcing the sale of this cinema and two others.
