Village Hall

In the Autumn of last year, we were all delighted to hear that Cockfield was named Small Village of the Year by the Suffolk Association of Local Councils.

In order to celebrate the award Cockfield Parish Council have arranged an event at the Village Hall on Saturday 20 Jan 2024. The event will run from 11am to 2pm, with a toast being offered to the village at about 1.15pm. Teas, coffees and cakes will be available.

Taking part in the event will be the following bodies, organisations and clubs who are either present or active in the village today and who are all delighted to have an opportunity to showcase to the village what they do.

  • Cockfield Carpet Bowls Club
  • CATEY Pre-School
  • Cockfield Primary School
  • Cockfield Stitchers
  • Cockfield Community Council
  • Congregational Church
  • FOCSA
  • Green Links
  • Cockfield Football Club
  • Memories II
  • Netball Club
  • Cockfield  Parish Council
  • St Peters Church
  • Suffolk Wildlife Trust
  • Cockfield United Charities
  • Cockfield Village Group (Shop and Post Office)
  • Village Hall
  • Village Recorder
  • Cockfield Women’s Institute (WI)

All involved hope that the various displays will be of interest. Members and volunteers will be on hand and will be only too pleased to discuss what they do in and for the village. We are hoping for a large turnout for what we hope will be an informal and enjoyable occasion.

Please note the school playground is being opened to provide additional car parking, however it would help if you could share transport whenever possible.
