Community Council October News

STOP PRESS – MURDER IN COCKFIELD – ONLY THE LOCAL COMMUNITY CAN SOLVE IT!!!!!!!!

There will be a most vile murder in Cockfield on Saturday 19th November and it will only be solved by residents of the village working together!!!!  No I’m not a clairvoyant, Saturday 19th November is the date of our first Murder Mystery evening, with a cheese supper, in the Village Hall. We’ll be divided into teams of six who will follow the clues and decide who is guilty of the foul deed. Tickets, priced at £7.50 are available at Cockfield Post Office and don’t worry, if you’re not already in a team of six we’ll sort you out on the evening….

Country & Western evenings

On Saturday 5th November the ever popular Kenny Lee and Hustler are back. Tickets, as always will be £6, on the door, and there will be a licensed bar and barbecue. Doors open at 7.30 pm

Flix in the Stix

We now have people trained in the use of the equipment and we’re aiming for our first show at the end of January. We will have access to a range of recent issue films and will keep you informed regarding ‘what’s on’ in Green Links

AGM

Our AGM is on November 25th so please come along – remember it is YOUR Community Council and it is at the AGM that our direction for the next year is decided, so it is important that everyone with an opinion about the way we are going or suggestions for future events comes along
