You are hereby summoned to an Ordinary Meeting of the Parish Council which will be held in the Village Hall on Thursday 23 February at 7.30pm for the purpose of transacting the business below.
Members of the public:
Members of the public are welcome to attend and may address the Council, following item three on the agenda, when the meeting is adjourned.
Reporting on Meetings
Except where members of the public have been excluded due to the confidential nature of the business, any person may film, photograph, audio record or use social media to report on meetings of the Council, including any public comment and/or questions. Would any person intending to report please give notice before the start of the meeting to the Clerk or Chairman of the Council to enable reasonable facilities to be afforded.

6.1 To consider any applications received including:
B/17/00138 – Three Horseshoes, Stows Hill – application for Listed Building Consent – erection of first floor rear extension – referred to the Planning Consultation Group (decision awaited); and
B/16/01725 – Hope House, Cross Green – erection of four-bay cart lodge (amended design to that approved under B/16/00911) – referred to the Planning Consultation Group (decision awaited).
6.2 To note any applications considered the deadlines for which were in advance of this meeting including:
B/17/00036 – Cross Green Cottage, Cross Green – application for Listed Building Consent – remove cement-based render and metal lathe to timber frame and reinstate with lime-based render and wood fibre board; remove external cement render to brick plinth and repoint with lime-based mortar; repair rotted sole plates, posts and studs; reinstate damaged brick plinths supporting timber frame; repair failing internal post and provide brick plinth to unsupported internal post – Council supported the application.
6.3 To note any Babergh DC planning permissions/refusals received.
7.1 To receive a financial statement and report, including the latest position with the 2016-2017 Council budget.
7.2 To authorise payments as presented and to note income received.
7.3 To appoint an internal auditor to examine the 2016-2017 Council accounts at the close of the financial year, prior to submission to the external auditor.
To consider the list of correspondence received and to take action as appropriate.
- Annual Parish Meeting
To consider the proposal that, starting from 2018, the Cockfield Annual Parish Meeting should always be held at 7.30pm on the second Thursday of April.

To receive any reports from lead members on matters which need to be brought to the attention of the Council and to take action as appropriate.
