Suffolk Village of the Year 2023

IMPORTANT – Immediate Change of Bin Collection Schedule

We have just been advised that for many residents in Cockfield your bin collection day will change from Fridays to Mondays beginning MONDAY FEBRUARY 3rd with the black bin collection (that would have taken place on Friday 7th Feb). Collections thereafter will alternate as usual, so the next blue bin collection will be Monday 10th Feb.

This information was supposedly sent by letter last Monday, but no-one seems to have received it. The contents of that letter follow.

The file link below lists the streets and properties affected by the change. If you are not on the list, your bin collection schedule is unchanged.

Change of Household Waste (Refuse) & Recycling Collection Day

Dear Resident,

We are writing to advise you that from week commencing 3rd February 2020, the collection day for your household waste (refuse) and recycling collections will be changing.

Your new collection day will be a MONDAY

To confirm, below are your upcoming collections:

  • Monday 3rd February – Household Waste (Refuse)
  • Monday 10th February – Recycling
  • Monday 17th February – Household Waste (Refuse)
  • Monday 24th February – Recycling

If you subscribe to our garden waste collection service, the day that your brown bin is collected will not be changing.

Bins need to be presented for collection by 6.30am on the day of collection at the edge of your property and be clearly visible. However, if you receive an assisted collection, this service will continue on the new day.
