Revised Christmas  & New Year Bin Collection Schedule

As usual the normal refuse collection dates will change in most cases over the Christmas & New Year period. Normal collections will continue until Friday 22nd December. From Monday 25th December to Saturday 13th January, a revised collection schedule will apply.

Brown Bins

If you have a garden waste (brown) bin, during January you can leave your real Christmas tree* with all decorations removed beside your brown bin on collection day.

Note there will be no garden waste bin collections during the weeks commencing 25th December 2023 and 1st January 2024. Normal service will resume week commencing January 8th.

If you don’t have a brown bin you can recycle your real Christmas tree with all decorations removed at a Babergh collection point. The Cockfield collection point is next to the barn at Cockfield Hall Farm, Howe Lane. Trees will be collected on Wednesday January 10th.

Alternatively, you can take the tree to a Suffolk Recycling Centre.

*Large trees – Trees that are more than 7ft tall / 3 inch trunk must be taken to the Cockfield collection point, or taken to the Suffolk Recycling Centre.
